Agility is a fun sport to watch, here is a description of our Issue No 5:

  • Handling Options: great jumping sequence to set up and practice handling moves ! We documented 10 different successful ways to run it, but there are many more combinations ! Which one would work better for your team ? Are you ready to try them all?
  • Performance Analysis: you can analyze the performance of FCI World Championship 2002 Agility Midi Team runs between two French team members: Sylvain Jacquemin & Mira and Francoise Milleville & O'Neil (1st and 2nd place respectively). Besides watching their runs individually, we use the "OVERLAY" to compare their performances.
  • Course Challenges: nice challenging jumping sequence to watch successful handling choices and to make you think about different possibilities.  Try it and see how would you handle it!
  • Jim Basic shares with us one way he teaches his dogs Left & Right Directional Commands - Part I
  • Elicia Calhoun shares her Course Analysis System, a step by step process that will give you a systematic approach to developing a successful handling plan every time ! Print course map.
  • Clicker Corner: "Cues". What are they and how to add verbal cues to behaviors by Moe Strenfel
  • Successful Novice and Excellent runs just to enjoy or to set up and try the sequences yourself.
  • Meet Glenda Timmerman, member of 2004 AKC World Team who will represent the USA at the FCI WC to be held in Italy September 25-26.
    • Overlays !!!  as you may never seen before applied to Agility !!!
    • Side by side comparisons
    • Slow-motions
    • How would you handle it?  Course maps of  runs presented on the video to print and work on.
